Jed
Jed is a texas hold-em varient in which the 4th card is a wildcard and the 5th card is a kill card. For example, if the 5th card is a 4 of diamonds then all 4s in your hand and on the board are dead. Additionally a 4 cannot be used to to make a straight such as A-2-3-4-5.
- Each player is dealt two cards face down.
- Round of betting.
- Three community cards are placed face up. The community cards can be used by any (and all) players.
- Round of betting.
- A fourth community card is placed face up (turn, or 4th street). This card is a wild card. For example, all Queens are wild.
- Round of betting.
- The last community card is placed face up (river, or 5th street). This card is a kill card. In this example all 2s in player's hands and on the play field are dead.
- Round of betting.
- The best 5 card using poker hand using a combination of a player's hole cards and 4 of the five community cards. The fifth card and all matching cards on the play field are dead. A player elect to "play the board" which means they do not use any cards from their hand.
