Evil Buy a Card is a 7-card stud variant. Each player is dealt a total of 7 cards; 3 down and 4 up. For each of the 4 up cards the player has a choice of 1 of 2 cards face up on the playfield - for free, or an unknown card from the deck that they pay for.

Each card opportunity has an increasing dollar value, such as 25 cents, 50 cents and 75 cents. If a player elects to take the up card (not pay) that card is replaced with a new up card.

  • Each player is dealt 2 cards down.
  • Round of betting.
  • Each player has a choice of 1 of two cards. An up card (free) or down card (for the inital amount, .25 for example).
  • Round of betting.
  • Each player has a choice of 1 of two cards. An up card (free) or down card (for the progressive amount, .50 for example).
  • Round of betting.
  • This cycle continues until each player had 6 cards, at which time the remaining up card is disguarded.
  • Each player receives one last down card.
  • Final round of betting.
  • Winner is the highest 5-card poker hand remaining in the game.
